One of the most intellegent and trainable breeds of dog, the standard poodle has been the choice of pet owners for generations. Before the standard became the dog of royality, they were the top choice for waterfowl hunters. A natural retreiver, even the fancy haircuts were born of practicality. Designed to keep the dogs joints and vital areas warm, while allowing them to navigate through water and marshes, the show cuts came from practical use.
As with any breed, not all standards are the same. At Majestic Standard Poodles, we were extremely selective in our foundation pair. Very close investigation was taken to find the best backgrounds and historic bloodlines. I can state without hesitation, that Max and Lacey were chosen from the best of the best.
